Meditation

Meditation

Meditation is something we do every day. The way we’ve been told of late meditation has to be very fixed sitting in one place legs crossed fingers positioned then we are set and ready for meditation. The various forms of meditation all have their place they’re all good. When you’re beginning to practice meditation those idea of sitting for 20, 30, 45 minutes seem so far away and so challenging.

As with anything we start new, the best way to start is with little bites. I’m going to present to you a meditation  that is very simple to do with minimum requirements. It’s a meditation that was shared with me over 20 years ago, and now I will share it with you.

It’s best to pick the same time every day to start your meditation. You can begin with five minutes before you leave your home or before you start your day. It’s really so very simple.

Here it is!

Find a quiet place facing the east if possible.

Speak a little prayer of protection and guidance. You may want to  acknowledge and ask your ancestors, ones that you were close to for, their guidance and protection.

Breath (3) three deep breaths from your belly releasing them slowly and evenly.

Now imagine a funnel 2 to 3 feet above your head.

Allow the pure love of life and existence to  flow from the heavens into your body. Feel it flowing into your head, your shoulders, down to your arms through your fingertips.

Feel the pure love flowing down through your torso, your hips down through your legs all the way down to your toes.

Feel the love flowing through you.  Imagine a giant soap bubble in front of you.

Any concerns you have, situations you want addressed, let them come up placing them in the giant soap bubble to be released into the sky inside the soap bubble.

As the soap bubble floats up to the sky let it burst into nothingness into the pure love of life and existence. Remain still for a few minutes feeling the energy of  love floating through your body.

Do this exercise daily, starting with (5) minutes. You will be able to build up more time as you practice this exercise.

You will see how easy it is to spend more time being still. Enjoy!
